The Coalition will be offering a compliance training to prepare Illinois ABA providers for current compliance with contracts and healthcare law, and future federal Office of Inspector General (OIG) ABA service audits we expect here in Illinois. This is a critical time for ABA providers, and we need to ensure, all providers are in compliance and prepared so we can avoid some of the audit pitfalls and paybacks that other states have experienced. We are excited to offer this very important training in a two-step format.

Part 1 Focus: Federal OIG Audit Outcomes and prevention for Illinois providers, the need for, and components of a compliance plan, fraud prevention, legal definitions of fraud, waster and abuses, and quality record reviews.
In-person workshop with an attorney, a certified compliance professional, and BCBA-D will occur on February 12th in the Springfield area and on February 13th in the Naperville area.

Part 2 Focus: Progress note development to meet medical necessity documentation, CPT coding and billing standards, and peer-to-peers and appeals strategy.
Virtual workshop with a BCBA-D and professional ABA medical biller will occur March 6th from 9am to Noon CT.
